Developing skilled tradespeople from the ground up is central to MacKellar’s long-term workforce strategy. Our four-year Apprenticeship Program is designed to provide apprentices with a strong foundation through a blend of structured training and hands-on site experience.
The program includes:
• Comprehensive off-the-job training with industry-leading partners
• On-the-job training across multiple MacKellar locations
• Dedicated Diesel Fitter training delivered in partnership with Hastings Deering
• A structured pathway to nationally recognised qualifications
After celebrating the successful graduation of 17 apprentices from last year’s intake, MacKellar is excited to see this new cohort begin their journey in the mining industry.
Apprenticeships play a critical role in addressing skills shortages within the mining and heavy equipment sectors, while providing clear career pathways for young people.
