Priding themselves on delivering modern, reliable, high-quality equipment and support to their clients, Western Plant Hire are excited to be partnering with the MacKellar Group to scale up their fleet, fast tracking growth and expanding the range of equipment available to their customers in Western Australia.

Acquiring the company in 2020 Western Plant Hire Executive Directors Luke Mateljan and Malcolm Azzopardi said the relationship would create several opportunities to take the business to the next level.

“With MacKellar Group on board as a strategic partner, it presents an exciting opportunity for our business to broaden its product offering in the larger HME space. Traditionally we have provided mid-sized equipment predominantly in Western Australia, however with MacKellar’s involvement there will be no limit.

As a continuing director and shareholder of the Western Plant Hire Group, I’m looking forward to working with our new partner as we continue to execute our growth strategy, with our focus on providing reliable equipment solutions to our clients.” Mr Azzopardi said.

Western Plant Hire Executive Director Luke Mateljan said the company will immediately benefit from an increased capability to access an expanded equipment range including large scale equipment up to 600 tonne.

“I am really excited about MacKellar Group’s investment in Western Plant Hire. It has given us the opportunity to grow quickly and expand into a broader product offering, particularly into larger equipment we have previously been unable to offer.” Mr Mateljan said.

As a result, Western Plant Hire expects local jobs will be created as the company continues to grow.
